About the owner:

Hi! I’m Tricia Dunphy and I am the proud owner of Whisk You Away, a bakery that grew from my love of pastry and all things sweet. My passion for pastry and baking began at a young age, where I spent countless hours in the kitchen with my mom and nana, learning their baking techniques and recipes. Both were skilled bakers, and they instilled in me a love for the craft and the joy of making people feel my love through food. In 2016, after years of baking for friends and family, I decided to leave my career in the legal industry and pursue baking and pastry full time. I sent out resumes to countless restaurants in Boston and was hired as the Pastry Cook at Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse in Chestnut Hill. From there, I was hired as the Kitchen Manager at Smolak Farms in North Andover where I spent six years. That is where I realized how important it is to use fresh produce and ingredients wherever possible. I am currently the Pastry Chef at Tryst in Arlington, Massachusetts where I craft all their breads, pastries and pastas. I have always wanted to open my own bakery, but the timing never seemed right. Between 2021 and 2023 I lost both my mom and dad and realized that the time is now and decided to throw caution to the wind and go for it. At Whisk You Away, my goal is to create delicious pastries, cakes, and breads, using only the finest ingredients and a whole lot of love! I specialize in custom cakes, cookies and nostalgic treats that will be sure to whisk you away to some of your favorite sweet childhood memories. For me, baking isn't a job – it's a way to share my love and bring joy with every sweet bite.
